Our Story

Sarah and Darren Arblaster were working in the NHS in Sheffield when they were introduced to local dentist Ron Gee while visiting family here in Guernsey. Shortly after, he decided it was time to ‘hang up the mirror and probe’ and suggested the Arblaster’s think about taking over his practice. They took a chance and spent a challenging first year building up a loyal patient base with Sarah initially working as nurse and receptionist. Luckily it paid off; they fell in love with the island and have since turned Temple View into busy family practice. From their original surgery in Ruette Braye, in 1999 they moved to the Temple View building in St Martins before finding their forever home on Rue Des Grons in 2009.

Their son Dan follow his parents foot steps by studying dentistry in Newcastle. He moved back to the island in 2016 with his partner Abby and is slowly taking over the ropes from his parents. In April 2019 they welcomed Nathan, their friend and colleague from NHS Foundation Training, to become an associate at Temple View. Together with the invaluable help from our dental nurses and receptionists, our dedicated and friendly team has grown to the biggest it has even been. This has allowed Darren to retire while the practice continues to maintain the important ethos that he and Sarah nurtured from the beginning; building relationships with their patients in order to look after them and their family over a lifetime.
